ERC and Manual Monitor System
KW Simmering Petroleum Tank Farm Operation
Fixed monitor extinguishing system for protecting storage tanks with around 200,000 m3 of mineral oil products and biogenic raw materials and fuels.
Erdöl-Lagergesellschaft m.b.H. (ELG) is the central storage agency of the Republic of Austria and, in addition to fulfilling storage goals, makes an important contribution in securing the energy supply in the event of a shortage. Located in the city of Vienna, ACCURO Fire Protection Systems designed and installed fixed monitor extinguishing system to protect the storage tanks which are located in different service stations. In employing this new system, mineral oil products, biogenic raw materials, and fuels stocked in the nine storage tanks with a total inventory of around 200,000 m³ can be well protected and stored in a long-term basis.
Fire Pump House, Monitors, and Wireless Electric Remote-Controlled Monitors
As part of the new building, a Fire Pump House was built where three (3) diesel fire pump units with an output of 15,000 l / min and an engine output of 480 kW were installed. Fixed monitors with a flow rate of up to 6,000 l / min and a range of up to 70 meters were also installed. Depending on the accessibility of the monitors, two type of monitors were supplied, electric remote-controlled monitors and manual version. The electric remote-controlled monitors operate via radio remote control.
